The Jensen name has been synonymous with thoughtful design, solid craftsmanship and a high standard of customer service for over twenty years. With an impressive range of traditional and modern designs, and styles that have stood the test of time, Jensen offers something for every home.

The two collections below which are un-named was a commission through Iconic Revolution by Jensen Leisure Furniture. I was asked to study the existing collections in Jensen's offerings and develop a collection that could round out their outdoor line. Upon the study of not only Jensen, but a breadth of the occasional industry it was decided to peruse a line of Mid Century Modern inspired pieces. From that direction two separate collections were developed in concept for presentation. Both collections celebrate MCM-style silhouettes. The first collection shown below is based on an all wood (teak) frame construction with a tight webbed back that supports the back cushions and acts as a design detail paired as a simple way to change up the material composition through different color webbing & upholstery. The second offering has a similar framework however its back detail uses metal rods, in this case made to look like oil rubbed bronze. The rods can come in different finishes as well. The front leg detail throughout the second collection brings the back detail to the front with prevalent tubular front legs that take the MCM ideals to a more contemporary composition.

 

Shown in both collections are an offering of a sofa, lounge and dining chairs with and with out cushions. The full line also would include tables in the form of dining, coffee and occasional. These collections never came to fruition, and I still own the rights to the designs. The images are renderings direct from my models created in Solidworks.
